Permission has been secured for the siting of a ‘slingshot’ amusement ride on the Great Yarmouth seafront. Sited on the former Amazonia Reptile Zoo, the ride will be present throughout March to October each year following the Council granting a lease for the land and CN Planning subsequently securing planning permission. Flood risk, heritage and policy constraints all needed to be adequately addressed, and the Council’s planning committee raised no objections in granting permission – noting the economic and tourism benefits which would ensue.
