Vintage tea room gets to stay

CN Planning was approached to assist in resolving an enforcement issue relating to the use of a former office/light industrial unit as a vintage tea room. With the site within open countryside and the business already operational, it was crucial to secure permission. Given its rural location, it was not necessary to undertake a sequential test, although the likely traffic generation and amenity impacts needed to be considered in full. Following regular liaison with the case officer, permission was granted with very few conditions.
