Contemporary dwelling secures consent

Following refusal of permission by the Local Planning Authority, CN Planning was engaged to lodge and oversee an appeal to the Secretary of State for a contemporary and eco-friendly dwelling located within the rear garden of a property in Burbage, Hinckley. CN Planning successfully argued against the Council’s grounds for refusal, noting that the dwelling would not appear out character for its setting and in respect of the wider settlement, and it would not undermine the standard of amenity enjoyed by neighbouring occupiers. A section 106 agreement was advanced to address the development’s impact on local public open space.
